Orange Tree Blossoms
Since we have our new Education and Visitor Area almost completed, safely within an electric fence we have been able to grow fruits and vegetables for our furry friends!
We're asking our supporters if they want to leave a positive mark on C.A.R.E. and the planet through donating to buy a tree to plant in the reserve and would like to thank Leonor Bottaro for leaving a legacy and planting with the future in mind! Thanks to Leonor we have planted a beautiful orange tree besides the new Education Centre!
There are so many great reasons to want to plant a tree!
We want to be a more sustainable sanctuary, through actively improving our on-site habitat within our "rebuild area" (which is protected within an electric fence) and producing some of our own food.
We are aiming to plant native fruit trees such as marula trees, water berrys, baobabs, grewias and also some fruit/nut trees which can be cultivated; macadamia, orange, lemon, avocado, mango and lychee.
With sweet smelling flowers and delicious fruits, these quick to produce trees are a wonderful addition to our garden! Thanks to Leonor the baboons will eventually benefit from delicious orange fruits! Oranges are rich source of vitamin C, vitamins of the B group and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus.
What a great way to make the place beautiful, provide natural and juicy food for the wild birds and captive animals undergoing rehabilitation and make a positive contribution to the planet! Thank you Leonor for making a difference now and for the future!
